In 1986, Mitchell co-founded
Idea Champions, a consulting and training company specializing in
creative thinking, innovation, and team development. The company began, as all things do, as
an idea. Indeed, in the beginning, that’s all it was. The idea, however, was not of the “dime a
dozen” variety. Nope. Uh uh. No way. The idea for Idea Champions was an inspired, out of the
box idea whose time had come. What was it? Simply this: To provide organizations with a
humane, skill-based, catalytic process that would enable even the most skeptical, left-brained
employees to discover a whole new way of innovating on the job.
It’s worked with organizations as different from each other as MTV Networks is from Pricewaterhouse
Coopers. It’s worked with GE, AT&T, Lucent, General Mills, Merck, Michelin, Goodyear,
International Truck & Engine, NBC Universal, and Pfizer – just to name a few. It doesn’t matter
what industry your company is in. If you are committed to raising the bar for innovation, creative
thinking, and teamwork, Idea Champions can help.
And not only real-time. Idea Champions most recent innovation has been the creation of Ingenuity
Bank, dual-path, enterprise-wide, third generation idea management software – a kind of
online suggestion box program on steroids.
